DiscountDTF (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect on discountdtf.ca, why we use it, and how you can reach us about privacy requests. We handle personal information in a manner consistent with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
Who we are
DiscountDTF operates an online storefront for DTF transfers, related products, and customer accounts at discountdtf.ca. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@discountdtf.ca.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect: contact and shipping details (name, email, phone, address); account credentials and order history; cart contents and uploaded artwork for printing; payment-related details processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers); welcome-coupon and marketing-consent records; support messages; and technical data such as IP address, approximate city/region/country derived from IP, browser type, device info, and cookie identifiers needed to run the shop securely.
How we use your information
We use personal information to process and fulfill orders, quote shipping, calculate tax, manage accounts and loyalty points, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets), and—only with appropriate consent—send promotional offers. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage. Your banner choice is saved locally so we do not ask again unnecessarily.
Essential cookies
Required to run the storefront: cart session, login/session security, language preference, cookie-consent choice, protections such as Cloudflare Turnstile on public forms, and a first-party pageview log (path, referrer, coarse locale, anonymous visitor id, IP address, and approximate city/region/country derived from IP via our hosting provider) used for security, fraud prevention, and store operations. These cannot be turned off if you want to shop with us.
Optional / analytics cookies
If you choose Accept all, we may also use third-party analytics or advertising measurement tools (for example tags loaded after consent). First-party pageviews already run under Essential for ops/security. You can clear site data in your browser to reset the banner and choose again.
Marketing emails & welcome offers
Promotional email is CASL-aware: we send marketing messages only when you have consented (for example when unlocking a welcome coupon or opting in) or another CASL-compliant basis applies. Welcome offers store your name, email, consent acknowledgement, and a coupon code tied to that email—the code works at checkout only when the order email matches. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages, or by emailing contact@discountdtf.ca. Transactional order and account emails are not marketing and may still be sent as needed to fulfill your purchase.
Service providers
We use trusted processors to operate the store, including payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), email delivery (Resend), hosting and security (for example Vercel and Cloudflare, including Turnstile), database/storage providers, and carriers or freight services when shipping. They receive only what is needed to perform their services and must protect the information appropriately.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above—including order fulfillment, customer support, accounting, tax, and legal obligations—then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer required. Cart and session data are typically short-lived; order and account records are kept longer as required for business and legal records.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, and ask questions about our practices. Contact contact@discountdtf.ca. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Governing law
This storefront is operated for customers in Canada. Privacy practices described here are intended to align with Canadian requirements. Using discountdtf.ca means your information may be processed in Canada and, where our service providers operate, in other countries with appropriate safeguards.
